Shampoo Without Salt and Chemicals

1 130
In a nutshell: Many substances that appear on your shampoo label are synthetic chemicals designed to give you the feeling that your hair is clean, healthy and shiny. In practice these chemicals encourage dropout, scalp irritation and scales. Always prefer shampoo without salt, no preservatives and no animal ingredients. Regular use of a natural shampoo will restore your hair to its natural shine and moisture.
We live in an era when awareness of body and mind health only arises, and there is growing interest today in the harmful effects of the chemical substances we use in toiletries and cosmetics – substances whose effect we do not really want us to know. Today more and more people are looking for shampoo without salts, non-preservatives and no chemicals. The industry does everything to make the product look natural and healthy so we see the phrase ‘no salts’ or ‘no parabens’ on many types of shampoos, is that enough, and what does that mean? We also know that animal experimentation in cosmetics is not a legitimate way to produce products for us, how can we know?
Why shampoo without salts and what is the illusion of foaming
Use of chemicals in hair care products: The current situation in the body care and hair care industry requires careful examination of the ingredients listed in the product label. The problem is only illusion and beyond the momentary result. These substances are harmful and cause, among other things, hair loss at a very young age, skin lesions and more.
So what’s in your shampoo?
• Salts – are sulphates, salts that produce sulfuric acid. These salts thicken and increase the volume of shampoo and are responsible for the production of foam when used together with SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate). People have become accustomed to the feeling of foam and attribute it to cleanliness, but sulfate does not really play a role in cleaning the fat from the hair and scalp and the effect on the hair and scalp is devastating.
• Parabens – preservatives designed to prolong product life – these chemicals are associated with skin irritations, skin asthma, they are absorbed in the body and simulated the activity of estrogen hormone.
• SLS and derivatives – all derivatives are detergents used to manufacture about 95% of the soaps and shampoos marketed worldwide and proved beyond doubt that they irritating materials and with prolonged exposure can cause skin problems. It is the chemical that gives volume to the product and foams. It is true that not all people are as sensitive to SLS as it is, but in infants with skin asthma, older people or people with allergies and different sensitivities, this can only worsen the condition and avoidance can improve and soothe.
• Silicone – This synthetic compound is characterized by high viscosity and heat resistance and is used in industries such as cars and more, as well as in the skin and hair care industry such as shampoos, softeners, hair creams and more. Using on hair, it locks split ends, gives the hair a uniform, shiny look. It is a chemical that covers the entire hair, including the scalp. The contact with this substance seals off the scalp, absorbs dust and pollution, does not soluble in water, accumulates on the skin and hair, and encourages accumulation of bacteria, thus developing dandruff, skin irritation and, of course, dropping out.
• Formaldehyde – found in smoothness (Japanese, biological, organic, etc.), all types contain very high concentrations of formaldehyde, even if not written on the product. Other names that can appear on the product are formaldehyde, methanol formaldehyde, and it is actually a preservative for pathology. It is also added to detergents, disinfectants and preservatives in the cosmetics industry. The health effects of formaldehyde are harmful and cause respiratory irritation such as asthma and may cause cancer.
• Fragrance – or synthetic fragrance, under which the name hides material whose function is to bind the scent and fix it so that it does not dissipate and the smell will remain for a long time. But we are not told what this substance is and what it is produced from, well, it is a substance produced by the secretions of whales. Another fragrant substance known as musk oil is produced from a gland that is removed from the elk. Another substance known as lanolin, which is found in baby products, is extracted from the fat gland from sheep. Sounds terrible right? What’s wrong with the oils that nature produces for us, aromatic oils that benefit the body and mind and do no harm.
All the products mentioned are designed to make you think that the shampoo you use is cleaner, refreshing, fragrant and makes your hair shiny. The practice of using these substances regularly dries the hair and scalp, encourages dandruff, and hair loss!
What will we recommend?
• Try to choose a shampoo (including toiletries) with as many natural ingredients as possible (eg olive oil shampoo and coconut oil) and as few ingredients as possible from the list above.
• Look for the rabbit mark on the product label, which means that the product has not been tested on animals and checked that the product has no animal components.
• Always use herbal oils for cleaning and treating hair and aromatic oils for wonderful natural aromas.
• If you suffer from dandruff – avoid shampoo containing chemicals as these only encourage the formation of dandruff! They dry the skin of the scalp and thus increase the scales!
• Regular use of natural shampoo without salts will restore to your hair all that synthetic chemicals have taken – healthy scalp skin that secures natural moisture and strong hair and luster.
