Rosemary essential oil Rosemary (Scientific name: Rosmarinus Officinalis)
Rosemary belongs to the lipid family. Rosemary is a perennial perennial green leafy bush with a length of 2-4 cm, dark green on the upper side and a grayish white on the underside, with rosemary blooming in spring and in a variety of colors: blue, white, purple or pink. Up to a height of 1.5-2 meters in Israel is most common as an ornamental plant, in part because of the high resistance of rosemary to dryness and air pollution.
Rosemary oil – many uses • In cooking – add rosemary branches and leaves to meat and potato dishes. • Rosemary in a preservative – In the past, prior to the invention of the refrigerator, they exploited the antimicrobial properties of rosemary to preserve meat, which was done by rubbing the plant with meat. • Exorcism and purification – in addition, they used it to expel demons, bad dreams and eliminate pests. Maimonides even mentioned in his writings as “The Garden of Eden.”
• In home medicine – rosemary is considered one of the classic plants for the treatment of general weakness and as a traditional remedy for the prevention of lice infection. Rosemary powder (after drying and grinding) is used to stop bleeding and as an antiseptic, by applying it to the open wound. • Rosemary tea – Rosemary tea (wicker extract, flowers and leaves) is used for calming and beneficial for restful sleep. Relieves headaches and migraines. Helps against general exhaustion and weakness of the circulatory system resulting from low blood pressure and blood flow defects. Strengthens muscles, helps digestive problems. It also improves memory and contributes to clarity of thought. • Hair hygiene and removal of lice – Washing the head and hair with rosemary extract will reduce the fatty secretion of the scalp and will benefit those suffering from oily scalp skin, scales and hair loss.
